The Triquetra is a sacred geometric knot, having three points and three intersecting ellipses. The Triquetra was often used in ancient Celtic art to symbolize a triune deity.  The Celtic gods and goddesses often manifested themselves in aspects of three.  The Celts' belief in a Divine Trinity was carried forward into their conversion to Christianity.
